Help Pia Recover — Supporting Pia on the Road Back

Many of you know Pia — the person who always shows up, who leads you through the trees on a mountain bike trail with a grin on her face, who makes the outdoors feel a little more magical for everyone around her. Right now, she needs us to show up for her.

Pia was seriously injured in a road biking accident. She sustained fractures to her C6 and C7 vertebrae and five thoracic vertebrae, a brain bleed, and a broken thumb. She has made it out of the hospital and is fighting hard — but the road to recovery is a long one, and her insurance is not covering her post-hospital care.

Those of you who've ridden with Pia through Cog Wild know how much she gives to this community. As a guide, she has spent countless days leading riders into the woods, sharing her knowledge of the trails and her love of the outdoors. Off the job, she's an avid mountain biker, runner, surfer, paddler, and skier — an all-around force of nature who brings energy and heart to everything she does.

Now it's our turn. Any contribution — large or small — goes directly toward her recovery costs and gives Pia the space and support she needs to heal.
