Phonexay Louangrath has been a dedicated farmer in the Waialua area for over 20 years, growing crops like bittermelon, green bean, and okra. In March 2026, the Kona Low Storm swept through the region, causing devastating damage to his farm. The storm washed out all of his crops and left his land unfit for planting. Even worse, his essential farming machinery—including his tractor and generator—became unusable, making it impossible for him to begin the recovery process.
