Phoenix (they/them), a Korean queer disabled writer who urgently needs help to move from Alabama to New York City.
Phoenix has been doing their best to rebuild after a devastating divorce . The system failed to protect them and, deepened the harm they were already facing. The process left them emotionally and financially depleted. Since arriving in Alabama, they’ve faced ongoing instability and heartbreak, including the recent loss of two of their beloved senior dogs who were their main companions and emotional anchors.
Now, their safety and wellbeing are once again at risk. There have been repeated raids and heightened activity in their area, making it distressing place to remain and has severely impacted their physical and mental health.
Phoenix has stronger mental health networks and access to consistent care in New York. Your donations will help cover moving and travel costs, housing expenses, and essential needs as they get settled.
