Hi all,

This past week, my parent's 6 year old springer spaniel, Phoebe was taken to the Emergency Vet and diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called Immune-Mediated Thrombocytopenia (ITP) where her immune system is now attacking the platelets in her blood, not allowing it to clot. She has received blood transfusions to help stabilize her condition, and after several days, is on her way home. On top of the emergency treatment she received at the ER, she will now have to be on steroids and medication to help prevent or suppress any further attacks to her system. Phoebe is the sweetest pup, who loves to cuddle everyone, especially all the grandkids when they go to visit. My parents, of course had no choice but to go forward with the treatment for her to save her life, and are now left with cost of such extensive services. We are hoping to help raise just half of the cost or her services to support my parents at this time, as they navigate now taking care of Phoebe's new daily needs. Any amount, or even just sharing their story is so helpful and appreciated!
