Help Pho Lavang In Lake Oswego, OR

Hi Everyone,

 

My name is Teresa Pham and I am fundraising $1,000 to fix the window of my mom's restaurant Pho Lavang in Lake Oswego, Oregon. Yesterday morning (12/13/21) we caught a man throwing a rock at our restaurant's front window. The man was trying to rob us by breaking into the restaurant but failed. Luckily, we were prepping early in the kitchen and screamed at him which caused him to run off. We didn't know if this was a racial attack until the police told us that this man also robbed $6,000 from a local Chinese restaurant near us. 2021 is almost ending and I am disheartened to know that hate crimes are still happening towards the Asian community. As you all in the PDX area may know, a bunch of Asian restaurants near 82nd got robbed and broken into during March when Asian hate crimes were prevalent across the country. I would have never have guessed that such attacks would happen in Lake Oswego, an area in Oregon where crime rates are typically low.

 

Please help my mother by donating to help fix our window. My mother immigrated from Vietnam and worked all her life building up her restaurant to provide for her children. It is heartbreaking to see someone hurt her small business and run away without any punishment. Christmas is around the corner and it would present to her and our family for the community to come together to help Pho Lavang.
