Hi everyone, my little brother Phil-Williams was involved in a devastating car accident a couple days ago and he is now in intensive care at a private clinic located in Abuja, Nigeria. He broke both of his legs, fractured his right knee cap, suffered severe facial fractures and  bruised his pelvis as well as his back. I was heartbroken to see him in such critical conditions and my family and I are doing everything we can to support him.

Phil's injuries are severe and he has a long road to recovery ahead of him. He will continue to require intensive care as well as surgery and rehabilitation with no timeline as to when he will be fully recovered.

Phil-Williams is an adorable 11year old young boy, that is cute and bubbly but also clever and talented. He spends majority of his time outdoors, doing sports and being a regular active kid. My mother is a single mother of a family of 4, operating her own private consulting business as well as her hair salons, while taking care of my little brother and sister every single day. It was due to Covid that she travelled to Nigeria with my siblings to reestablish her business that is just starting to gain traction but not enough to fully cover Phil’s recovery.

Due to his injuries being this severe and the health care system in Africa not being as integrated, Phil will require additional treatment once he’s back in Toronto. The estimated cost of his full recovery is upwards of $20,000. Your support will help cover the cost of medical bills, transportation, treatments and other expenses that our family will face in the coming weeks and months.
