It is incredibly hard for Rachelle to ask for help, but this fundraiser is for her son, Phillip, who is facing an unimaginable battle. Phillip has been diagnosed with brain and lung cancer, and the tumors have caused him to lose his sight completely. On top of everything he is going through physically and emotionally, Phillip is unable to work and has no medical insurance. His Social Security claim has been delayed since April, and while the family waits for any outside assistance, the medical and household bills continue to grow. Rachelle is doing everything she can for her son, but as his mother living on a fixed income, she cannot carry this alone.
Support for Phillip will help with the ongoing needs that do not stop from one week to the next: daily care, food, medicine, transportation to appointments, medical and hospital bills, and possibly home health assistance that the family truly needs but cannot afford. They also do not have a dependable vehicle, which makes getting Phillip to his appointments even harder. Any help matters, whether it is a one-time gift or recurring support each month. Predictable donations can help Rachelle keep up with Phillip’s regular care, basic living needs, and rides to treatment as these expenses continue over time. If you are not able to give, prayers are deeply appreciated as well. Thank you for caring for Phillip and lifting this family up during such a difficult time.
