Hello all,

My name is Phillip. I ended up at the wrong place at the right time on October 13th, 2025. I showed up at a residence to do some plumbing service. I then walked up on the sight of the worst case of animal neglect I have ever witnessed with my own eyes. I had to step in.

Now, I have 3 kids and a girlfriend of 11 years. We also have a 4-year-old dog already. I knew I couldn't afford to take in this dog myself, but I had to step in for her life.

In February of 2024, my girlfriend, Sarah, and mother to my 3 children, was diagnosed with stage 4 adenocarcinoma lung cancer. As you can imagine, life changed pretty suddenly. We have spent the last year and a half trying to find "normal" again.

Keeping the bills paid was enough of a struggle as it was. Being the sole provider and a self-employed plumbing contractor, the jobs got further apart. I had to be the one doing the school pick-ups and drop-offs, household chores, and attending to Sarah's needs while she began her chemotherapy.

I knew I was doing the right thing when I took our new family member from the horrible situation she was in. We named her Izzy! What I didn't know was how I would take care of her financially as I am already stretched as thin as I can be.

I am looking for help to get her the proper vet care she needs, make sure she is current on shots, and spayed if need be. She deserves the best life. She accepted my family as her own and has attached herself to our hearts! Her recovery is still unknown until I am able to get her into the vet for proper evaluation.

Anything will help me help her and relieve some of the weight.
