On 5.7.2022, Philip was badly burned over roughly 50% of his body in an accident while surrounded with friends and family.

In his words:

"Please pray for me. I was in a am accident yesterday and was burned on about 50% of my body. My hands and legs got the worse of it. I am in the burn unit at chapel hill and will be here for awhile. Pray for my brother Matthew Manning's hands because he burnt it by putting me out."
