Per Phil-

’ve kept quiet as long as I could, but it’s time to share what I’m going through. My health has worsened, and after nearly 11 months of waiting, I finally have my first appointment at Integris Transplant Center in Oklahoma City on October 21st. This evaluation will determine if I am a candidate for a liver transplant.

If approved — and I’m praying to the Lord that I am — my portion of the transplant alone could easily exceed $200,000. If I’m not considered a candidate, then I will need to begin preparing for final matters.

My dear friends, Emily and George Chester, began working on a fundraiser even before they knew the full extent of my condition. Once they did, they poured their hearts into it, and I am truly humbled by their kindness. The pickup location will be announced next week, and any ideas or suggestions are welcome.

I’m not one to ask for help, but as many of you know, we always tried to keep Patsy’s treats at affordable prices, which didn’t leave room for much savings. If you’re able, please participate in the fundraiser — and above all else, I ask for your prayers.
