Help Phil Rankin keep fighting cancer

Hello everyone.....
Here is the most recent update on Phil Rankin or more warmly known as Dad, Oupa, uncle and friend to many.
First, I want to say how thankful Dad and our whole family are for everyone’s continued prayers and support. Last year's GoFund me ensured he was able to have access to treatment and treatment resources which WAS successful! The past 6months have given Dad a chance to recover a bit after his chemo dose. We are all thankful for those months.
Over the past weeks he noticed more pain. He went to his 3 month medical follow up this week and the MRI revealed a growth in his neck. While we feel this blow to the gut, there is relief that there was no active lesions on the brain or head. Such a relief amidst the hard news.
So here are the next steps moving forward.
He is scheduled for another MRI next Tuesday (Feb 16th) of his whole spine. They will be checking to see if there are any other growths. Additionally, the oncologist mentioned that radiation should be done on the growth they found and possibly the return of targeted chemo drugs.
As we all know these measures have their individual costs which pile on quickly as does the emotional, physical and mental toll. We ask for you to join us in praying. Pray for strength for him, mum and the family. He has fought this and can do it again. Another way to join him in this fight is by giving a financial gift. Every amount is a huge encouragement and way to help dad continue his fight. This is also a way to “be with” dad and mum when we cannot be physically present.
