Hello, my name is Phil. The birthmark on my face is what you see of what I am raising money for. This is known as Sturge-Weber Syndrome (SWS). Due to SWS, which becomes worse and more intense with age, I am reaching a point where I cannot work anymore. I am applying for disability; however, I need help getting by until it goes through.

A little history:

With SWS, I was also born with glaucoma in my left eye. With no vision and an eye pressure over 50, I was rushed for my first eye surgery of over 75 at 8 weeks old. I lost complete vision permanently at age 7. The eye was eventually removed and replaced with a prosthetic at age 19. At age 11, I started having severe migraines due to SWS. The following year, I developed epilepsy, also due to SWS. Since turning 40, the increase in intensity of all this is happening at a higher level. Any help is greatly appreciated as I am starting to reach a point of not knowing what to do to afford the normal day-to-day living.

Currently plan to help pay for monthly bills and medical care as this goes on. Unfortunately, I don't have health insurance right now, and all doctor/hospital visits are adding up along with medical prescriptions. In addition, anything I can do to make this more comfortable for my 8-year old son to go through, keeping any stress off him.
