My name is Chris Brewster and I am an incoming PhD student in Music Composition at Stonybrook University. Classical composition is something I have been passionate about since the age of three. In my undergraduate and graduate studies, I have had the opportunity to put together many recitals of my own music. This field of work is so important to me that five months ago I made the decision to uproot my entire life in Boston to move to Long Island, New York. Classical music is and always has been my entire life.

In the past week, I have incurred an unexpected financial hardship due to an employment opportunity that fell through. I am no longer able to fund myself, and Stonybrook is currently enduring budgetary constraints. I ask that you contribute anything you can in order to help me fund my research.
