This Go-Fund-Me is being put together by the friends of Leslie Meagher and her children Josie, and Josh Lewis.

On September 10, Leslie passed away at the age of 57, leaving behind her two amazing children, Josie (23) and Josh (21). Leslie and her children have lived on the Monterey Peninsula for 18 years. Leslie raised incredible kids, on her own as a single, disabled mom. Josie and Josh were much beloved students in Pacific Grove and continue to live in our community.

Josie wrote this about her mom:

"Hi Everyone, For those who don’t know, my mom Leslie Catherine Meagher passed away sometime Friday evening...She was absolutely one of a kind, and we are so lucky to have had her for 57 years. Roughest, toughest, kindest, most loving, most generous-to-a-fault woman I’ve ever known."

Leslie's passing was sudden and unexpected (not Covid-19 related); stemming from a fall resulting in broken ribs and a rapidly moving bacterial infection.

Unfortunately, there were no financial reserves in place to cover the expenses associated with the loss of a loved one.

We're hoping to raise enough funds to help Josie and Josh cover memorial costs, moving costs, and any unknown costs that may be incurred in the coming months. We feel it is important for these two wonderful young adults to take some time off of work in order to get their mom's affairs in order and mourn at their own pace.

With this sudden change in the course of their lives, it is our hope that the community will come together to help contribute to a fund toward their future, so that they may grow, pursue their dreams, and carry on Leslie's legacy of generosity and kindness.
