On March 22, 2024, my beloved dog Pezkoi went missing. For over two years, I searched and hoped for his safe return, never giving up on the possibility of seeing him again. Then, on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, I received an incredible call—Pezkoi had been found in Kankakee County, Bourbonnais, Illinois. I rushed to Kankakee Animal Control, and our reunion was everything I had dreamed of. Pezkoi was overjoyed to see me, and I was so grateful to have him back in my arms.

However, it quickly became clear that Pezkoi had been through a lot during his time away. When I took him to the vet, we discovered that his teeth were badly damaged. The vet believes this could be from Pezkoi trying to chew his way out of confinement or possibly from being hit in the mouth. If you look at his photo, you can see his canine teeth are going sideways and his incisor teeth are gone. He now needs extensive dental care and treatment to recover and live a healthy, happy life again.
