Help Peyton's Journey to Overcome Cancer
Donation protected
As many of you know, my daughter Peyton has been struggling with serious health issues over the past 18 months. She’s had multiple blood transfusions due to dangerously low red blood cell counts, iron infusions, and has battled severe nausea, vomiting, extreme fatigue, and loss of appetite. During this time, she’s undergone countless diagnostic tests and has seen numerous specialists, all while trying to maintain some sense of normalcy.
Today, I share this update with both relief and heartbreak: we finally have answers. Peyton has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer, as well as a genetic DNA mutation that puts her at higher risk for developing other forms of cancer in the future. While this is incredibly difficult news, it also gives us a path forward to begin treatment and, most importantly, hope.
As many of you also know, we lost our biggest supporter—Peyton’s dad—not long ago. This has made an already challenging journey even harder. In order to be by her side and support her through her treatment, which begins June 11th in Florida, I will need to travel back and forth while still maintaining a home and expenses here. That means managing two households, time off work for both of us, and covering medical co-pays, medications, travel, and other unexpected costs.
This is not an easy thing to ask, but we are leaning on our faith, our community, and the love and support of those around us during this incredibly difficult time.
If you are able to contribute in any way—financially, by sharing this, or simply through your prayers—we would be deeply grateful. Every bit of help makes a difference and brings us one step closer to getting Peyton the care she needs and deserves.
Thank you for being there for us.
With gratitude,
Julie & Peyton
