Help Peyton Rebuild After Her Car Accident

Dear Friends, Family, and Community,

I’m reaching out today on behalf of my best friend and roommate, Peyton who was involved in a life-changing car accident this past Monday.

While driving, a deer unexpectedly crossed her path. Being the animal lover that she is, Peyton swerved to avoid hitting the deer. Unfortunately, this caused her to lose control of her car, which flipped twice and slammed into a retaining wall. By a miracle, she survived the crash with no major external injuries. However, her body endured significant internal bruising, and she will be out of commission for several weeks as she recovers from this traumatic event.

The situation:

While Peyton's physical recovery will take time, she is also facing the hardship of not having a car for her daily needs, including her volunteer ministry. As a recent transplant to New York from California, Peyton moved here with the hope of pursuing a volunteer work, something that she is truly passionate about. However, due to a misunderstanding with her insurance policy when switching from California to New York coverage, her collision insurance was not carried over. This means that the insurance will not cover the cost of replacing her vehicle, leaving her without a way to get around and putting a strain on her already difficult recovery.

Why We Need Your Help:

Peyton has always been the one to show up for others, whether it's through her volunteer work or her kindhearted nature. She’s the first to offer a listening ear, lend a hand, or give someone a place to stay. Now, in her time of need, it's our turn to help her.

We are asking for support to help Peyton cover:

- Medical expenses and ongoing treatments for her recovery

- A replacement vehicle to help her get back to work and continue pursuing her volunteer passions

- Living expenses as she won’t be able to work for the next several weeks due to her physical condition
