I am 18 years old and heading to Saint Louis University for college in the fall. I'm excited to study political science and minor in linguistics, and I'm determined to fund my education on my own, with the help of loans. As a commuter, I pay for my own car, and the daily costs of traveling to work, school, and back home add up quickly. I'm seeking support to help cover necessities and essentials so I can focus on my studies and make the most of this opportunity.
I have dedicated my life to serving my community, starting at a young age. I graduated from North Technical High School in the law enforcement class as top of my class and class captain. I am proud to have graduated from the Future Leaders Academy held by the Florissant Police Department twice, and I also graduated from the 53rd class of the Missouri State Highway Patrol Cadet Academy. These experiences have shaped my commitment to making a positive impact and helping others.
The funds raised will go directly toward college expenses like books, pens, notebooks, and study materials, as well as meal plans and tuition costs. Reliable transportation is crucial for me, so part of the support will help me get my car fixed to ensure I can commute safely every day. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in my journey.
I want to thank everyone who is able to donate, even a dollar or five—every cent goes a long way. As an 18-year-old taking on university straight out of high school, being able to chase my dream to go to SLU and study political science so I can become a lawyer in the future means everything to me. I had to grow up very fast during my childhood and took on a lot more than most people my age. I want to be the person in my family who makes a real change in people's lives and helps shape the future.
