Help Support RJ Zanon & the PewPew Cachoo Racing Team: A True Grassroots Baja 1000 Journey
From a salvage yard to the starting line of the Baja 1000 in under five months, that’s the story of RJ Zanon, Ken Brown, and the small but unstoppable crew behind PewPew Cachoo Racing. This team isn’t backed by big sponsors, deep pockets, or corporate funding. It’s powered by passion, late nights, friendships, and personal savings.
It’s all been done by a group of everyday off-roaders who believed they could build a Class 3 Ford Bronco good enough to take on one of the toughest races on earth, and they did.
But racing the Baja 1000 at this level comes with real costs:
• Parts & repairs
• Fuel & chase trucks
• Safety equipment
• Race logistics
• Media, tech, communications, and contingency prep
• Tires, tools, and the endless “one more thing” that Baja always demands
Most of these expenses have been fronted out of pocket by RJ, Ken, and the crew. This is truly a grassroots team chasing a lifelong dream, and every contribution, big or small, helps keep this effort alive and rolling.
Why We’re Asking for Support
This GoFundMe will help the team:
Cover remaining race week expenses
Offset the financial burden on the individuals who made this build possible
Keep the truck competitive, safe, and supported during the entire race
Push this grassroots effort across the finish line
If you love off-road racing, underdog stories, or watching people chase something bigger than themselves, this is your chance to be part of something special. The team will be sharing updates, behind-the-scenes content, and race progress so everyone who supports them can feel like they’re riding shotgun.
Be Part of the Story
The Baja 1000 isn’t just a race, it’s a test of grit, teamwork, and heart. And this team has plenty of all three.
Your support helps ensure that everything these guys have poured into this dream doesn’t stop at the starting line… but carries them all the way to the finish.
Thank you for believing in the little team that could.
Let’s send PewPew Cachoo Racing across the finish line.
