Help Petunia Get the Vet Care She Urgently Needs
Donation protected
Hi there!
My name is Shivy, and I'm writing on behalf of my good friends Lizzie and Zach, and their beloved little pup Petunia (aka Tuna). I think of Tuna as my niece, and love her accordingly.
Petunia came into their family in 2024 when they decided to foster her from the Burbank Animal Shelter. Her life before then remains mysterious, but Tuna is quite the unique little creature, as she is an earless Frenchie!
Petunia has never met a creature she didn’t love, she stops strangers and gets cuddles constantly. She’s smart too! She sits for treats and comes when she’s called (most of the time). She is buds with her cat sister Pepper, and loves her mom and dad like no other. She is just the best little pup.
Recently, Tuna had a health scare, and the vet's recommendation to get some answers is a CT scan, which will run a minimum of $6,000. If the CT scan can provide some answers, Tuna may need surgery, and her family will do whatever is necessary to give her the best care possible.
(From Tuna's family) --When Petunia was found/rescued she was suffering from severe ear infections. With help from the VBAS, the Burbank animal shelter raised funds so she could have what’s called a bilateral TECABO, the complete removal of her inner ear and outer ear. It’s suspected that her current illness is a symptom/result of this prior life saving surgery.
Vet bills are costly, and as you can imagine, most folks living in Los Angeles don't have $6k ready on the drop of a dime.
Any and all help would mean the world to Lizzie, Zach, and Tuna's army of friends and family. Thank you for your time. <3
