Petunia is our goofy, gentle 5-year-old dog who we adopted from the SPCA after she was found on the streets of Puerto Rico. She’s brought so much joy and love to our family, always making us laugh with her silly antics and calm nature. She’s never bitten anyone and is truly a beloved member of our household.


Recently, Petunia started having trouble eating. When she does manage to eat, she throws it up, so my mom took her to the vet. After some tests, they discovered something lodged in her intestine that needs surgery to remove. Unfortunately, we can’t afford the procedure right now. My mom is thinking about putting her down, but I desperately want to give her a chance to recover and stay with us.
