Help Petra keep Alpenblick Farm running!

I am a concerned friend and customer of Alpenblick Farm. I am fundraising to help Petra and Robert cover costs of operating their livestock farm while Robert is recovering from hip surgery and unexpected complications.
Alpenblick farm is an organic free range grass fed/finished farm and home to 30 respectfully raised cattle including milking cows, 15 sheep and 5 goats due to have their babies any time after January. That involves hard work to keep sheep and lambs alive.
Robert and Petra have been providing the Ottawa and surrounding area with fresh, healthy meat, cheese and other delicacies for over 30 years. Petra and Robert are well known for the humane way of caring for their animals.
During part of 2020 Robert suffered from a quickly deteriorating hip, which was successfully replaced over the Christmas holidays. Unfortunately he had severe complications post surgery and has found himself back in the hospital as a result. Robert will need 4 to 6 months of recovery, much longer than expected. Recovery will involve another surgery and hospital stay at the end of March. Physiotherapy is intense and the healing will take time before being able to return to his farm duties.
This situation without consistent help has left Petra very vulnerable. Right now the farm relies on much appreciated volunteer help from its customers and friends. But due to Covid-19 restrictions and with winter and colder weather, Petra needs to hire paid help to ensure that the farm and the animals are well taken care of during this difficult time.
The donated money from Go Fund Me will help to pay for a heavy machine operator to feed the pasture animals and to plow the 1 km long lane way, to pick up meat from our butcher, to hire someone to keep the barns clean, to do deliveries and to pay for inevitable repairs around the farm as they arise- all jobs which Robert usually takes care of.
