On February 7, Peter Romberg passed away peacefully after a sudden heart attack while playing pickup basketball at Dishman Community Center. He was 49 years old and would have turned 50 on March 8.
Peter lived with creativity and curiosity. He loved art, music, games, science, cooking, swimming, basketball, and being outdoors. But the greatest love of his life was his 13 year-old daughter (they/them). From spontaneous trips to the coast and long walks in the forest to making art, playing video games, and simply being together, Peter filled their life with adventure.
This fundraiser has been created to help support his daughter as they navigate life without their dad. The funds will help provide stability during this time of grief; supporting their education, creative and enrichment opportunities, and everyday needs. Our hope is to protect the space for his daughter to grieve, heal, and continue growing.
Any contribution, no matter the size, is a way to honor Peter’s love for his daughter and to help surround them with care as they move forward. Thank you for holding this family close and for being part of their support.
