A Community Fundraiser: Support a Local Student after His Father Was Hit by a Truck

After Olaf’s tragic accident, the future remains uncertain

Last week, Mr. Olaf L. was hit by a truck that veered onto the sidewalk, leaving him with life-threatening injuries. He is currently in the intensive care unit, after surgery.

The accident has left Peter to manage life without his father

Mr. L. is a devoted single father and sole caregiver of his son Peter, a local high school student. With his father hospitalized, sixteen-year-old Peter has been unexpectedly left to manage daily life without his father — commuting to school, preparing meals, caring for their dog, paying bills – and coping with the uncertainty surrounding his father’s recovery. There are no family members or friends nearby who can provide ongoing assistance.

Peter and Olaf need our support right now

A member of the school community has stepped in to address the family's immediate needs. However, the emotional and financial strain is immense. Peter and Olaf can't get through this alone - we, their community, must wrap them in support.

This fundraiser will ensure Peter is safe, nourished, and cared for while his father heals
