My name is Peter, and I’m reaching out for help during one of the hardest times of my life. On October 29 this year, I suffered a major heart attack. I work as a truck driver, and because of federal guidelines, I’m not allowed to return to work for two months while I recover. I do receive a small amount of income, but it’s not enough to cover my basic needs. I’m not cleared to go back to work until December 30, 2025, and I won’t see a paycheck until the second week of January. By then, I’ll be two months behind on rent, and I have shut-off notices for both gas and electricity. On top of that, I’m facing medical bills and struggling to provide for my three daughters, ages 10, 8, and 6. It breaks my heart that I can’t even think about Christmas presents for them, and the little bit of food I can afford, I save for when they visit every other weekend.

The funds from this fundraiser will go directly toward catching up on rent, paying utility bills, buying groceries, and, if possible, getting a few Christmas presents for my girls. Your support will help me keep a roof over our heads, keep the lights and heat on, and make sure my daughters have food and a little joy during the holidays.
