Hi, everyone! This is Peter. He is suffering from IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease) which is very common in dachshunds. It came on quick and he currently is not able to move his back legs or walk. He’s been put on strict kennel rest with medication. We are trying to raise money to get him surgery at NC State which would give him the best chance of recovery and prevent his hind legs from being permanently paralyzed. Pete is a soon to be 4 year old sweet small boy with a BIG HEART. He loves to run, play with his sister Ripley, be outside and cuddle with anyone who comes around! He honestly has been the light of our lives the last four years. We don’t know what we would do without our sweet boy. He brings a smile to anyone’s face who meets him and he has never met a stranger. Any amount is deeply appreciated to help this sweet baby get better.
