Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,

We are reaching out with heavy hearts to share the story of Peter Maltais, a beloved husband, father, grandfather (aka Grumpy to his girls) son, brother, Uncle and friend, who recently suffered a devastating motorcycle accident that resulted in the loss of his right leg. As Peter faces this life-altering challenge, we are rallying together to support him on his journey of healing, recovery, and rehabilitation.

Peter is not just an incredible individual; he embodies the spirit of selflessness and community. A fun-loving Harley Davidson enthusiast, he has always been larger than life, bringing joy and laughter to everyone around him. As a self-employed trucker, Peter has dedicated his time to serving others, often taking on odd jobs to assist the elderly in the Kitchener/Waterloo area. His heart has always been in helping those in need.

Following his horrific accident, Peter’s primary concern was how he would continue to support his community. Unfortunately, the accident occurred far from home and he is in Sudbury, where he is currently receiving medical care. His loving wife, Lisa, has taken time off work to be by his side during this difficult time, adding financial strain to an already overwhelming situation.

The road to recovery will be long and challenging for Peter. We are seeking your help to alleviate the financial burden of medical expenses, rehabilitation, and household costs as they navigate this new chapter. Your generous donations will directly support Peter’s ongoing care and provide some peace of mind as they face the uncertainties ahead.
