Dear friends, family, and compassionate supporters,
I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and an urgent plea for help on behalf of my brother-in-law, Peter Hoppie, a man whose life has been defined by love, resilience, and service to others. Today, he needs our help.
Peter is a loving husband to my sister Anita, a proud father of two, a doting grandfather, and a true cornerstone of our family. He is currently in critical need of a heart transplant — a procedure that will not only save his life but give him the chance to continue being the incredible husband, dad, grandpa, and friend we all cherish.
Pete and Anita have always given selflessly. For years, they’ve devoted their time and energy to extensive charity work in their community — feeding the homeless, supporting veterans, helping families in crisis — always putting others first, even when life tested them in unimaginable ways.
They are also survivors of the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting in Las Vegas. That horrific day left emotional scars that never fully healed, but they came out of it determined to live with even more purpose, compassion, and strength.
Now, they face another life-altering battle — one that no family can face alone. The cost of a heart transplant is staggering, even with insurance. Beyond the surgery itself, there are overwhelming expenses related to hospital stays, medications, travel to and from specialized care, and the long road to recovery that follows.
We are humbly asking for your support to help relieve the crushing financial burden they’re facing. Any donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to helping Pete get the life-saving care he urgently needs.
If you can’t give financially, please consider sharing this campaign with your network. And most importantly, keep Pete, Anita and our family in your thoughts and prayers.
From the bottom of our hearts — thank you.
With gratitude,
The Woolwine Family
