Help Kyle Save the Cat That Saved Him

Hi, my name is Raff (Rafael) owner of Mad Chad's Pizza, and I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my friend Kyle Breaux and his cat, Peter Darko. Time is running out, and Kyle’s not the kind of guy who asks for help so I’m doing it for him.

Kyle rescued Peter Darker in December after finding him nearly frozen inside an abandoned car near UAA. He was just a tiny kitten. Kyle wasn’t even a cat person, but that cat changed his life. He gave him hope when everything else was falling apart.

Now Peter’s the one who needs saving.

His tail was crushed and nearly severed. The vet says if it’s not removed through emergency surgery, it will rot and go septic. If that happens, Peter will die.

Kyle already paid for the exam, pain meds, and antibiotics. But the surgery and blood work will cost around $1,200, and we’re trying to raise $2,000 to also cover post-op care and any unforeseen medical costs.

Kyle’s working full-time in construction, building a house from the ground up, and waiting tables and like the rest of us, just trying to stay afloat but Peter doesn’t have the luxury of waiting.

How the Funds Will Be Used

Every dollar raised goes directly toward Peter Darker’s medical expenses at Tier 1 Veterinary Medical Center in Palmer, Alaska, including:

Tail amputation surgery

Blood work and follow-up care

Medications and post-op treatment

The expected cost is between $1,000 and $1,200. The rest will help cover additional medical needs and recovery-related expenses, handled at Kyle’s discretion.
