Help Peter Savage (Danger) on his road to recovery

To our amazing mob and community,

We have created this Go Fund Me on behalf of well-known and loved community members, Tracey Gray and Peter Savage (Danger).

On Sunday 30 July 2023, Peter wasn’t feeling well and was taken to hospital. Since being admitted to the hospital Peter has been in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Although to respect Tracey and her family’s wishes of privacy we cannot go into too much detail.

While Living on Straddie has its benefits sometimes it causes more strain when an unexpected event such as this occurs such as the travel and accommodation needs. The hospital is a 30-minute boat trip and then a 45-minute drive away from the Island.

Peter works a casual position with a plant hire company, Tracey works full-time for Yulu-Burri-Ba as a Medical Receptionist and Centrelink Agency Officer plus they both have kinship care for Peter’s 7-year-old Granddaughter.

This Go Fund Me aims to ease the stress for Tracey while she tries to balance Peter’s care, being by his side, maintaining their income and household on the Island plus managing the extra costs of supporting Peter and the family at the hospital.

Peter has a long road ahead and may be in hospital for an extended period therefore any contribution to help them through this will be gratefully accepted.
