My friend has Parkinson's Disease, he is about to lose his place, and on top of that he is about to have deep brain stimulation surgery.
Peter is a good guy, and we've been friends for over 25 years. We met because of a mutual friend that we were both working with in two different bands. We both felt like our project deserved priority, we were both right, and became good friends once we realized that fact.
Peter is in a bad situation. He needs some help from his friends, and his friends friends. He is currently dealing with a lot of things, and could use all types of help. He has to navigate the bureaucracy of the healthcare system, and his Parkinson's makes it difficult to handle the most basic tasks. Keeping up with paperwork while in pain, or while experiencing tremors makes it almost impossible. So if you don't have money, but have time and/or expertise, please get in touch.
Financial help, I picked $5,000 as the amount because that seemed like a good place to start. Living in the NYC/NJ area is costly. Transportation to doctors appointments is costly, and if he has to take an ambulance, well, thats almost $8000 on it's own. Peter didn't ask me to do this, but he knows that I have. He would never have asked for help in this manner, but I love him like a brother, and I know he needs the help, so here I am asking for your help.
