On May 17, 2025, Peter Mendez suffered a massive heart attack and two strokes. After 20 minutes of CPR, the paramedics were able to revive him. He was admitted to the hospital and received two heart surgeries during his two-week stay. Now he is in recovery with an intense therapy schedule. Candy has been by his side the entire time. Both have not been able to work since that day.

Although they were able to get by the last two months, now bills are starting to pile up. Additionally, school is about to start for their 3 younger kids. They are still waiting for disability and other claims to come through. It’s difficult for them to ask for help, but they need some “right now” support.
