Help Pete Swinton to survive and make music
Donation protected
I've started this fundraiser to support the prolific musician and humble creator that is my father, Pete Swinton. His endless creativity flows and extends to film, poetry and abstract art.
Living with bipolar disorder, depression and poor physical health, Pete can't work to sustain himself or his family. Making music has provided some income, but not enough.
We've set the target at £4000 to help make a difference over the years to come. Please help support Pete in paying bills and putting food on the table. If he loses his internet, he will lose his only way of making money. You'll support his family and allow an artist to continue making music with your kind efforts.
Pete is a half Hungarian, half Polish man born in London, UK 1961. Since 2015, he's lived in Jawa, Indonesia. He began playing the guitar in the '70s and then started playing keyboards in the 2000s. Currently, he makes Ambient and Experimental music and a cross between the two, which he calls Insanbient music. He likes cats and being in nature.
He lives with his wife Muji and her children Bayu and Anisa. Muji has a hair salon on their terrace, which is also used to repair clothes. However, they live in a poor neighbourhood, in a residential area. Since Covid started, business has plummeted, pushing the family to struggle to make ends meet.
In Indonesia, there is no benefits system at all. No unemployment benefits, no income support. This is why your donations are all the more important.
I've listed their expenses below to show how your donations, no matter how small, will help this family in their time of need.
Electricity = £20
Gas = £25
Water = £17
Council Taxes = £15
Health Insurance = £30
Food = £60
