My name is Peter Stegen and I manage Eden Prairie West and I would love some assistance in financing this project. Eden Prairie West is a privately funded prairie restoration project in Lincoln Nebraska. While there has been some collaboration since 2022, about 90% of the projects cost have come out of pocket.

While the scope of this urban prairie restoration is small, all prairie restoration projects can have a big impact. Some of these impacts include honoring the history of the land, creating natural spaces for people, and creating habitat for wildlife. Restoring prairies in urban spaces is a way to restore many things; human connection with the past, physical and mental health, and precious ecosystems for the diverse animals and insects that call Nebraska home.

Donating any amount will help with things like purchasing local ecotype grass and flower seeds, buying native live plants, installing educational signs, all the labor, and help with the water bill.
