Thank you for taking the time to look at my fundraiser! I've been granted the wonderful opportunity to study abroad in Barcelona, Spain for the summer of 2025! I'm so excited for this trip to further my education as a Sociologist, and have been very lucky to be awarded the Gilman Scholarship to cover my program fees. I have a few remaining costs for this trip that I need support with, however. Unfortunately I've been unable to secure a catsitter so I'm looking to board my two wonderful kitties, Pesto and Mozzarella, during my trip. Boarding for about 27 days will cost approximately $1100. In addition to this cost, I also need funds to survive off of while I'm in Barcelona. I will need to be able to afford food and other basic necessities on my own, so I'm looking to raise as much as possible to cover that!

These two costs are essential for my trip, as I cannot go on this trip without care for my cats and without access to food while abroad. This trip would be extremely beneficial to my education and future career as we will be studying houselessness and gentrification in the city of Barcelona. These subjects are very important to my work as a future sociologist! I leave for this trip on June 25th, and am trying to get funds secured by June 7th so I can have everything squared away before leaving.
