Hello, my name is Perry Ludy.

Six years ago, my life took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with Stage 4 prostate cancer. In that moment of heartbreaking truth, my whole world changed. But instead of giving in to fear, I chose faith. Instead of despair, I found humor. Instead of defeat, I embraced resilience.

Over the next year, my wife Lynda and I faced countless treatments, unexpected setbacks, and the added challenge of a pandemic lockdown. Through it all, we kept our friends and family updated through emails infused with the faith and humor that became our lifeline. They encouraged us to write a book to share our experiences and raise awareness within at-risk populations.

Now that we've written the manuscript, we're ready to bring the book to life, but we can't do it alone.

Your support will help us self-publish "Zaps, Drips, and Squirts: Winning the Cancer Battle." The projected costs include cover design, page formatting, illustrations, e-book and audiobook creation, and marketing through social media, sports organizations, hospitals, infusion centers, medical associations, caregiving networks, and faith-based communities.

My story is a testament to God's grace, and I believe He wants this book to come to life. God has blessed me to live six years after a Stage 4 diagnosis. It's a gift, and I want to honor God by sharing my experience in an uplifting, honest, and helpful way.

We are seeking support because my cancer diagnosis, followed by the COVID lockdown, brought unexpected financial challenges. I lost my job within months of the diagnosis, and then the lockdown came. Fortunately, we secured consulting work, but it keeps us on a pretty tight budget.

More than anything, I want to share my knowledge and experience to help others. It would make everything worth it if I could offer hope and inspiration to just one person going through a similar situation.
