My name is Brandy, and I’m reaching out for help to save my beloved chihuahua, Perry. Perry is a sweet, gentle dog who has always brought joy to our family. He loves to eat, play with his sister Bamby, and snuggle during naps. Last Friday, I noticed Perry was unwell, and after rushing him to the vet, we learned he has severe anemia and a condition that prevents his body from forming the platelets needed to stop internal bleeding.
Perry started medication for his platelet condition on Saturday, but it can take up to two weeks to work. In the meantime, he received a blood transfusion on Monday night, but his red blood cell count remains dangerously low, and he is still bleeding internally. The only way to keep him alive until the medication takes effect is another urgent blood transfusion. We are heartbroken and extremely worried, having already spent everything we could on his care. Unfortunately, we simply cannot afford the next steps on our own.
The funds raised will go directly toward Perry’s next blood transfusion and any ongoing veterinary care he may need, including the possibility of another transfusion. Perry means the world to us, and it’s too soon to say goodbye. Any support will give him a fighting chance to recover and stay with the family that loves him so much. Thank you for reading and for considering helping Perry survive this critical time.
