My brother’s sweet fur baby, Perlino, survived a bear attack — yes a bear!

By some miracle, Perlino was able to escape and make it home. They rushed him to the vet that same day, but his wounds were already badly infected. The attack was severe, and he’s now facing a long recovery that includes multiple surgeries (two have already been completed), daily wound care, and laser treatments to help with healing.

At first, they weren’t sure what had attacked him— the vet even suspected a pack of coyotes — but then a neighbor shared security footage showing the bear right outside their property.

This journey has been emotionally draining and with stacking vet bills it is beginning to become financially straining for them.
