In December 2019 our dear sister Perla Herrera  was diagnosed with Advanced Cervical Cancer.  She's begun a rigorous 2 month schedule of daily radiation and chemotherapy. She needs some financial support for medical and daily living expenses that are needed immediately. 

For those of you who  know her, know  she is an AMAZING person. She is loving, caring, smart, positive, funny,  unbelievably strong and people love being around her.  

Perla also has a beautiful 9 year old daughter Shauna, who is the sunshine of her life. As you can imagine this has been difficult on Shauna as well. 

Since Perla was diagnosed she has met with the oncologists, had biopsies, blood work, blood transfusions, CT scans, MRI’s, and a kidney nephrostomy.  She continues to have more medical testing and procedures. On December 29th she started a combination of radiation and chemotherapy. She will be in treatment for the following 8 weeks. 

Unfortunately, due to the illness and the rigorous treatment schedule, she will be unable to work as a full time massage therapist until the Spring.  Considering how dedicated she is to her daughter Shauna, and her work, this is going to be very trying time for her. Most of her medical expenses are not covered by her insurance and with the everyday necessities of life such as rent, groceries, utilities, gas, and essentials for Shauna, money is an issue. She has  already incurred several thousands of dollars in medical bills.  Our family is helping out as much as possible, pitching in to help take care of Shauna, and staying by her side throughout, but Perla's financial situation is quickly worsening beyond what her immediate family can help with. 


Perla is a very giving person  and would do anything to help anyone out  in time of need. So we’re asking at this vulnerable time in her life that we rally behind her as she takes on this fight.  Anything you can donate will be truly appreciated. Everything we can do to help and surround her with love is what is most important so she can focus on beating Cancer.  Please spread the word.
