Hello! I’m Toni Lyons and my sister, Peri, is in a very tough spot. Due to a long illness, she’s about to lose her home.

As you may already know, my sister is an incredibly gifted woman. She has had careers as a singer/songwriter/comedian, Cabaret singer, poet, model, caregiver to our mother when she developed Alzheimer's and, for the last ten years, as the very gifted Psychic for Skeptics. In this role, she has consulted with hundreds of people (including celebrities), developed a weekly tv call-in show with a large following, and is helping support innumerable people to set their lives on a positive course. She is greatly loved by all with whom she comes in contact. Her love for them is transformative.

She has never been in any of this to make a lot of money but has been able to somehow eke out a living. You may know others in similar situations and have witnessed the struggle. Without health care Insurance tied to employment, Obama’s Affordable Health Care Act was a literal lifesaver. She worked hard for many years to access this insurance, demonstrating dogged self-advocacy. It allowed her to finally see a doctor in order to address some complex health challenges that were compromising her ability to function effectively and pursue her goals.

At last, over the past three years she was able to be seen at a medical clinic with doctors who could develop an appropriate treatment plan. She was finally getting somewhere when, in January of 2025, after Trump’s election, she suddenly and inexplicably was dropped from the roles of the ACA. She has fought valiantly to regain whatever health care insurance she could, without avail. She has been ill with another bout of COVID which led to a long period of pneumonia, leaving her debilitated and unable to pursue her business effectively.

Four years ago, after having cared for our ailing mother in her home in Annapolis over many years, our mother died, leaving Peri the house. It was in need of quite a bit of repair, so couldn’t readily be sold. Peri has been able to live there since. Now she is unable to pay the tax on this, her only asset and her only shelter. She is still recovering from this last in a series of illnesses.

Please help Peri stay in her home! Help her pay the property tax (and utilities) so she can continue to put together the rest of her life and pursue her work brightening the lives of so many others.
