Help Performers Laura & Jon Fight Ovarian Cancer

Donation protected
The fight is on, it is real and they are in need of our love, support and prayers.

Laura and Jon have tried to fight this fight alone since 2013. It is not in their nature to ask for help, but are now in need of our help to get them through these really tough times. When you read their story it will explain why this Go Fund Me page was created.

Laura and Jon are high school sweethearts who after graduation went on the road with the circus and spent their lives doing what they loved - performing around the United States for people of all different backgrounds young and old. They loved the joy it brought them knowing for a moment of time they enabled their guests to let their guards down, have fun and forget their daily problems. Laura and Jon could see this in their guests’ smiles and hear it in their laughter. They also dedicated their time to many charities along their journey. All of this was medicine for them when Laura was first diagnosed with ovarian cancer, but their journey had to be cut short to fight Laura’s battle. Now there is a void in their lives.

Laura was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in August of 2013 and in September 2013 had a full hysterectomy followed by 6 months of chemo. During this time, Jon was diagnosed with prostate cancer and never said anything or did anything because his care and concern was Laura and their children. Once Laura’s treatments were over Jon addressed his cancer with surgery. That September 2014 the doctors found a tumor in Laura’s back by her spine between two major arteries. This required another surgery and more rounds of chemo. During Laura’s chemo treatments, Jon found out his cancer had returned. Jon waited until after Laura’s chemo was complete to start his 40 consecutive days of radiation. The next 5 years Laura and Jon thought they both beat the beast only to find out in the end of 2018 that the beast was back by way of a tumor in Laura’s clavicle for which she endured more rounds of radiation and chemo. During these treatments which carried over to 2019 the doctors found multiple tumors in Laura’s stomach for which she was receiving ongoing treatment until earlier this year when a tumor was found on her liver. In May Laura was scheduled to receive radiation for the tumor on her liver but noticed a change in some of her mobility and asked the doctors to do a scan of her brain. Laura and Jon received the devastating news that the cancer has metastasized to multiple tumors in her brain, including near her brain stem. Treatment has now been concentrated with radiation and chemo for the brain tumors only. Laura is one tough woman who will not give up and continues to fight hard with her high school sweetheart right by her side.

Currently Laura has limited mobility and needs around the clock care while she receives her chemo and radiation treatments. Jon has been doing an amazing job since Laura’s diagnosis being by her side as her husband, best friend, soulmate and caretaker. Unfortunately now he is physically unable to do it alone. Jon needs to work full-time to keep up with their expenses and has been caring for Laura during breaks in the day and each night with very little or no sleep. With all their medical expenses that have accrued and continue to accrue and basic everyday living expenses, home, food, etc., Laura and Jon are in need of our help so Laura can receive the professional homecare she needs and to help with continued expenses.

If every person reading this gives only what they can afford, I know Laura and Jon will be grateful and we could hopefully - together - help them financially, put a smile on their face, warm their hearts and reach this goal to help them keep fighting this fight together through our love, support, strength and prayers.

From the bottom of our hearts we humbly ask that you share this link with friends and family.

Laura is my sister-in-law and Jon is my brother, they live on the West Coast and I live on the East Coast and the only daily immediate help we can give them at this dire time is this Go Fund Me page. We are hoping this will help Laura get the care she needs to get well and on her feet again and allow Jon to continue to be by her side while they fight together this beast of a disease called ovarian cancer. I can not express enough how important they are to me, and how much it hurts to see their struggle.

Our family thanks you for your support and prayers. God bless each and every one of you!!
