Percy is my 2-year-old cat and truly the light of my life. We moved here together from Oregon so I could attend medical school, and he’s been my constant companion through every challenge. Percy loves food, watching birds, and curling up for cat TV marathons. He’s not just a pet—he’s my family, especially since I don’t have anyone else here. I honestly couldn’t do this without him.
Recently, Percy ingested the earpiece of my stethoscope and developed a urinary obstruction. It’s been terrifying to watch him go through this. He’s been hospitalized and may need surgery to remove the foreign object. I’ve been a mess with worry, and seeing my best friend in pain has been heartbreaking. The costs of his care are more than I can manage on my own as a student.
I’m reaching out for help so Percy can get the treatment he needs to recover and come home. Any support you can give means the world to both of us. Thank you for reading our story and for considering helping Percy get better.
