On the morning of July 3, our sweet dog Percy was attacked by another dog while we were walking in our neighborhood. The attack left Percy with multiple puncture wounds, a broken rib, and air trapped in his chest cavity and under his skin. He was rushed to Animal Medical Center, where he is now hospitalized, receiving IV medications and being monitored in an oxygen chamber. The veterinarians expect he will need to stay for several days before he can safely come home.
Percy means the world to our family. He’s a gentle, loving dog who greets everyone who visits our home with excited whining and kisses. He’s a true cuddle-bug and loves nothing more than being held like a baby. Seeing him in pain has been heartbreaking, but we’re doing everything we can to help him recover.
The cost of Percy’s emergency care is overwhelming. We’ve already put down a deposit on a credit card, but we simply can’t cover the full amount on our own. Any support from our community would mean so much to us and would go directly toward Percy’s medical bills and recovery. Thank you for helping us give Percy the chance to heal and come home to Ian and David, who love him so much.
