Hi everyone! Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this. As some of you may know, I took in a sweet little black kitten in October. I've always wanted a black cat, but it took my son asking for one to simply find us. Since he walked into my mom's yard and started chasing him around, Percy has had our hearts.
It was mid-March when I noticed the change—he was tired all the time. Then I found him passed out under my son's bed. I rushed him to the vet, and he was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection. After treating that for several weeks, those symptoms receded, but he still seemed off. After taking him to the vet, he was diagnosed with FIP. Up until very recently, this was an automatic death sentence for cats. Now there is treatment available! However, the treatment comes at a high cost, and after all the vet bills and first few rounds of medication, I have found it to be a steep cost. If you would like to support treatment for our boy, anything helps. The treatments take up to 4 months for lasting results. I want to see Oliver's best friend make it through this!
