Pepper is more than just a pet—she’s my son’s best friend and a huge part of our family. In October, Pepper was diagnosed with a tumor on her spine in her neck. She spent a week and a half in the hospital and received two large doses of radiation. After her release, she was doing great for a while, but just recently, her symptoms returned. When we took her back to the doctor, we learned that the tumor had come back and she would need to undergo the same procedure again, along with additional treatments over time. The doctors gave her pain medication to help her feel more comfortable while we try to come up with the money for her treatment, but she is still in a lot of pain and needs help as soon as possible. These treatments would give Pepper back a life without pain. She means everything to my son, who has struggled with severe anxiety after being sick with long covid for the past three years. Pepper has been by his side through it all, offering comfort and companionship when he needed it most. Seeing her in pain, and watching my son worry about her, breaks my heart. Getting her healthy again would mean the world to both of us. Any support you can give to help Pepper get the care she needs would mean so much to our family. Thank you for reading and for caring about her story.
