My good friend Pepe (Jose Mateo Becerra Sanguino), who lives in Mexico, was recently diagnosed with thyroid cancer. He is in desperate need of surgery and chemotherapy, but he cannot afford to start either one. I am reaching out to help him, especially because US dollars go a long way in Mexico and can make a huge difference in his treatment and recovery.


The funds raised will go directly to Pepe's medical bills. The money will be transferred via my good friend Jean Legters, who is a mission partner of Ward Church, to ensure Pepe receives the care he needs as quickly as possible. Every donation, no matter the size, will help Pepe access the surgery and chemotherapy that could save his life.


I first met Pepe on a mission trip with my students in Merida, Mexico, and was immediately struck by his passion for Jesus and his dedication to making sure kids and students know they are deeply loved.
