Penny is our 3-pound teacup chihuahua, and she means the world to our family. Recently, our 13-year-old was carrying her when she jumped from his arms and broke two bones in her tiny leg. We rushed her to the vet for emergency surgery, determined to do whatever it took to save her. The bill was more than we could afford, but we couldn’t let our son think he’d lost his beloved dog, and we couldn’t imagine life without Penny.

We’ve already paid the bill, but it’s left us struggling to cover our everyday expenses. Penny is now in a cast for 8-10 weeks, and we’re with her around the clock to help her heal.
