Penelope Reese Lagergren, the strongest little girl I know, is a 5 1/2 year drowning survivor.

On February 15th, 2020, Penelope suffered a hypoxic injury as a result of a drowning and was in full cardiac arrest for 70 minutes. After coming back to us, Penny has been fighting ever since to continue to heal and improve.

She has shown us time and time again her resilience and willingness to combat the limitations of her injury. We simply want to give her every tool necessary to have the most optimal recovery possible and for her to live life to the fullest.

Penny has received stem cells twice before, and each time, gained a new skill, whether it was the ability to kick the ventilator to the curb or more movement in her hands and feet.

We are hoping to raise the necessary finances to fund a red-eye flight to Surprise, Arizona for her to receive placenta-based stem cells from her new sibling this coming July. This facility works as clinical trial and bridge to continued healing for our Penny Peanut.

It will be a very time-sensitive trip and will work in conjunction with only a 24-hour window when they are most viable.

This amount would cover the necessary expenses we need for harvesting cells, the procedure itself, the flights to Arizona, and expenses during our stay.

Penelope has been blessed so much over the years, and we are blessed to still have her in our lives.
