My name is Penelope Cerna Lomeli. I am 15 years old and I am a sophomore in Grant Union High School. I will be a Rotary Youth Exchange Student, and will be doing a year abroad, I will be going to Belgium for all of my Junior year. Because I live in a single parent household and my family is low income, I never believed that I could do a year abroad but I have been given a chance to do it and I am so grateful for this option. I will need to pay $10,000 in order for this to happen. I am asking for any donations. Please help me get to my dream.

I have lived in California for all of my life and because of my community and surroundings I know I had to work twice as hard as anyone else if I wanted to get to my dream. I also know that opportunities like this only happen once in a lifetime. That is why I am asking for help, my mom doesn't make that much money and she still has to take care of my two other siblings and herself. Please help me make my dream come true.
