Penelope and Samantha have been dreaming of moving to Colorado and working in the ski industry since they graduated high school in 2024. After a year of careful planning, saving, and researching, they set out in the fall of 2025 to begin their adventure for the ‘25/26 ski season. Every step of their journey went smoothly, and they arrived in Colorado Springs excited to head into the mountains, with their trusty Subaru, Frisbee, ready to support their new life.

Unfortunately, just as they reached Penelope’s grandparents’ house, Frisbee’s clutch gave out. While Penelope and Samantha have adapted quickly—using the bus system and learning to navigate public transportation—they know that come spring, having their car will be essential for exploring the West and making the most of their time in Colorado. The cost of repairs is more than they can comfortably cover without dipping into the savings they worked so hard to build.
